CARAMEL SOAKED FRENCH TOAST 
1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2/3 c. butter
1/4 c. + 2 tbsp. light corn syrup
10 (1 3/4" thick) slices French bread
4 eggs, beaten
2 1/2 c. milk or half and half
1 tbsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 c. butter, melted

Combine first 3 ingredients in a medium saucepan; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes or until mixture is bubbly. Pour syrup evenly into a lightly greased 13x9x2-inch baking dish. Arrange bread slices over syrup. Combine eggs, milk, vanilla and salt; stir well. Gradually pour mixture over bread slices. Cover and chill at least 8 hours.

Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 40-45 minutes, or until a thin knife inserted in center comes out clean; top will be lightly browned.

Combine 3 tablespoons sugar, 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon and 1/4 cup of butter in microwave or a saucepan until butter has melted. Drizzle a small amount over each serving and pour the remainder into a syrup dispenser to serve alongside.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
