ORANGE COOKIES 
2 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
2 eggs
1 c. sour milk*
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
5 c. all-purpose flour
juice and rind (grated) of one orange

Cream sugar and Crisco, add eggs and sour milk and mix well. Stir in juice from the orange. Add baking soda, powder, salt and flour and mix well.

Bake at 350°F on a greased cookie sheet for 8 to 10 minutes.

Icing: Use orange juice and powdered sugar only.

Note: To make sour milk, add 1 tablespoon vinegar to each cup milk.
