GERMAN POTATO SALAD | |
1/2 lb. bacon, diced 5 potatoes, cooked in jackets (3 1/2 c. cubed) in salted water 1 red onion, chopped 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 tbsp. sugar 6 tbsp. vinegar 1/2 tsp. prepared mustard Cook bacon till crisp. Combine potatoes, bacon and onion. Add remaining ingredients to 3 tablespoons bacon drippings to which enough vegetable oil has been added to make 2/3 cup. Heat thoroughly, stirring constantly. Pour over potato mixture and mix well, serve warm. Makes 6 servings. |
