This worked so well! Quick, easy, cheap & perfect result. Inhaled by 5 teenagers who showed up behind my two without warning. I am now Mom of the year (until tomorrow, at least). THANKS Terry H!

My kids and I made this for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. I did add the whole cup of water when mixing--wished I would've added some garlic butter to the top but will try it next time. I rolled the dough out quite thin and found I had enough dough for 2 personal size pizza's, a medium and probably closer to a large left over for when my hubby gets home from work. I think with some tweaking, this will be a new family favourite for fun afternoons creating thin crust pizza's. Thanks for the recipe and to all those who suggested ways to improve and modify it.

Absolutely love this recipe! I don't use the baking soda just the salt and it comes out beautifully. My family goes nuts over this recipe :) was alot easier the second time I made it, as the first time was my very first go at making pizza from scratch. Would recommend this to anyone

Normally I would give this 3 stars, but the ease and convenience of this recipe needs to be recognized. Plus, I kicked it up a bit. Is it as good as a good authentic pizza dough recipe using yeast? No, but it is surprisingly good and much easier to make. I substituted two tbsp extra virgin olive oil for the one tbsp of oil. I also added a pinch more of salt, a tsp of dry Italian seasoning and a tsp of garlic powder. Unlike one of the other comments, I had no trouble spreading the dough thin. Just be patient and work it out on a flat non-stick cookie sheet or pizza tin. If you don't use much sauce, or toppings that leak oil, you can get away with just putting the toppings on the dough and baking at 450 for 15 min on the next to the lower rack. It crisps up quite nicely. If you use a lot of sauce or oil, pre-bake the crust for 7-8 min, then apply sauce/toppings.

I made used this recipe last night and it turned out great. I added herbs and red pepper flakes to the dough, and brushed it with garlic and butter. I baked the crust alone for about 5mins and then I pulled it out topped it with green pepper, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, yellow squash, parm. cheese and a drizzle of olive oil. I baked it for about 7 minutes more pulled it out and topped it with shrimp I'd sauteed in olive oil, lemon juice and parsley. I was a huge hit for dinner and I've got dough left over to experiment more tonight!

I liked this base it was quick and easy. I does need to be rolled out very thin I used self raising flour. I found there was too much water and kneaded it and kept adding flour until it was not sticky. I halved the dough and put half in the fridge. And did not eat the crust. This recipe is not for you if you like thick crusts.

Thought it was very salty. Also very heavy as other commenters have stated.

It worked in a pinch...but didn't taste as good as the reviews would have you believe. Even put the melted butter and garlic on prior to initial baking. My 3 and 5 yr olds were the main chefs. So perhaps we didn't roll ours flat enough. Regardless, I don't think we'll make it again.

Made a stuffed crust pizza with this dough. Worked perfectly, as long as you seal the crust with water.

Thank you for this recipe, it turned out real good and very tasty (also very filling). I made two Pizza's (large) for the family each made with the ingredient amounts above ( extra spoon olive oil), to say it was easy would be an understatement. Due to ingredient constraint's on the night I had to use half self-rising flour mixed with normal flour, but tbh it turned out real nice. The family loved it. Whether you think its a real pizza crust or not is irrelevant, it tastes good when made, for food thats all that counts as far as I can see. Thanks again for the recipe, I am sure we will be making it again.
