PEAR RELISH 
1 peck pears
1 tbsp. salt
2 lbs. sugar
5 med. onions
6 bell peppers (red and green)
1 tbsp. pickling spices
5 c. vinegar
1 tbsp. turmeric (for color)

Run pears, onions and peppers through meat chopper. Add other ingredients. Cook 30 minutes after it begins to boil. Put in jars and seal.
