"BEST YET" POUND CAKE | |
3 c. sugar 6 eggs, room temperature 3/4 c. milk 1 lb. butter, softened 4 c. plain flour 1 tsp. almond extract 1 tsp. vanilla Beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Beat well, adding flavorings. Pour batter into well greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Place in cold oven and turn temperature to 300 degrees. Start timing at once to bake 1 hour and 40 minutes. |
