ACORN SQUASH 
Wash and microwave squash. Let cool. Cut in half lengthwise and remove seeds from hollow. (Remove stem and core before cutting.) Combine brown sugar, cinnamon and wheat germ and honey. Place into hollow of squash by teaspoon. All will melt together when squash is microwaved a second time. Put a small amount of water in dish and cover with plastic wrap and microwave. Serve.

INGREDIENTS:

Med. to lg. squash, 8-12 min.
2 tsp. wheat germ per hollow
2 tsp. brown sugar per hollow
2 tsp. honey per hollow
Cinnamon (to taste)
Salt and pepper (if less sweet is desired)
Butter (1 tsp. or to taste)

The second time squash is microwaved it's being cooked to serve. Check to be sure squash is tender and liquid in center is hot and bubbling, about 4 minutes cooking time. Nuts can also be added to hollow of squash.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
