ACORN HONIES 
3 moderate size acorn squash
1 c. honey
1/4 lb. butter
1/4 tsp. salt

Cut acorn squash in halves. Wrap in foil and bake until soft (approximately 1 hour; scoop out contents. Mix in butter, salt, and honey; season with nutmeg, salt, cinnamon, or cardamom. Seasoning can include any favorite spice.

Whip contents together and spoon back into squash shells. Garnish with orange slices. Serves 6.
