OATMEAL BREAD 
2 1/2 c. boiling water
2 c. oatmeal
4 tbsp. yeast
1 c. warm water
1 tbsp. salt
3/4 c. oil
1/2 c. honey or molasses
4 eggs
6 c. white flour
2 c. whole wheat flour
1 c. oat bran

Pour 2 1/2 cups boiling water over 2 cups oatmeal and let stand in large mixer bowl. Dissolve 4 tablespoons yeast in 1 cup warm water and set aside. To the oat mixture add 1 tablespoon salt, 3/4 cup oil, 1/2 cup honey or molasses and 4 eggs.

Beat well. Add yeast and blend. Beat in 3 cups white flour and set aside until mixture fills bowl.

Add oat mixture to pan containing 2 cups whole wheat flour, 1 cup oat bran and 3 cups white flour. Use more white flour if needed to make stiff dough. Let rise again and punch down. Make into 4 loaves (or rolls). Let rise until double. Bake 20 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees until well browned.
