PIZZA SAUCE | |
1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes, solid pack 1 sm. can tomato paste 1 clove garlic, minced (can use garlic powder) 1 tsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 - 2 1/2 c. grated cheese (Mozzarella & Monterey Jack) 2-3 tbsp. Parmesan cheese 2 tsp. oregano Mash tomatoes. Stir in tomato paste, garlic, sugar, salt and pepper. Bring to boiling point. Lower heat and simmer about 45 minutes or until about as thick as chili sauce. Spoon half of mixture on each pizza shell. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Arrange topping (sausage, olives, pepperoni, whatever) and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and oregano. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until cheese melts and bubbles and crust is golden brown. |
