2 parts flour
1 part salt
1 part water
Paste food coloring
Gold wire
Acrylic paint
Polyurethane lacquer

Mix first 3 ingredients. Knead 10 minutes. Color batches as desired with food coloring.

Form ornaments in desired shapes. Insert gold wire loops to hang ornaments. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes, then 200 degrees until hard. Cool.

Apply a coat of lacquer; let dry. Paint details; let dry. Apply another coat of lacquer and let dry.
