LAYERED TACO SALAD | |
3/4 lb. ground beef 1 clove garlic, minced 1/2 tsp. chili powder 1 bottle (8 oz.) taco sauce 4 c. shredded lettuce 1 c. finely chopped onion 2 c. chopped tomatoes 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese Preheat skillet. Add beef, garlic, and chili powder, brown over medium heat. Drain off excess fat. Add taco sauce. Cover and cook 7 to 8 minutes over medium heat. Let cool to room temperature. In large salad bowl layer half the lettuce, meat, onion, tomato and cheese. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Makes 4 (1 1/2 cup) servings. |
