BEEF STEW 
1 lb. stew meat
4 c. potatoes, cut
1 envelope onion soup mix
4 medium onions, quartered
pepper and salt to taste
cornstarch

Cook meat until no longer red. Rinse and put in pan with potatoes, carrots, onions and onion soup. Add water to cover. Cook until potatoes are tender. Mix cornstarch in cup with water to make thickener. Add to soup until thick. Add water as needed.
