LAZY BEEF STEW 
2 1/2 lbs. raw beef stew meat
3 stalks celery, cut up
4 or 5 carrots, cut up
5 potatoes, cubed
1 onion, cut up
2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes
1/2 c. tapioca
1 tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. basil
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. chopped garlic
1 pkg. frozen peas (do not add until end so they don't lose color)

Put all ingredients except peas in Dutch oven. Mix ingredients well. Cover tightly. Bake at 275 degrees for 6 hours. (Can use crock pot if desired.) 1/2 hour before serving stir in frozen peas. Serves 6-8.
