CORNBREAD PIE 
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 can tomato soup
2 c. water
1 tsp. chili powder
1 can Mexican corn
1 med. onion, chopped
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. pepper

Brown beef and onions, add soup, water, seasonings and corn. Mix and allow to simmer 15 minutes. Pour into greased casserole dish.

TOPPING:

3/4 c. cornmeal
1 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. melted shortening
1/2 c. milk or buttermilk
