1/2 c. butter, softened
1/3 c. creamy peanut butter
2/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. crispy cereal, crushed to 1 c.
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1/3 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease baking sheet. Cream butter and peanut butter with sugars. Add egg and vanilla. Mix until thoroughly blended. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Stir in rice cereal and chocolate pieces.

Drop by level tablespoons onto baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned. Let stand 1 minute on baking sheet before removing. 4 dozen.
