APPLE CAKE 
1 1/2 c. cooking oil
2 c. sugar
3 lg. eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. fresh sliced apples
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

TOPPING:

1 c. light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. cream or milk
1 stick butter

Cream oil and sugar. Add other ingredients and mix well. Put in a greased and floured bundt pan and bake at 325 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until cake tester comes out clean. Leave in pan for a little while, but loosen cake from sides. Top with glaze.

GLAZE: Mix all together and put in saucepan. Boil for 2 1/2 minutes. Pour over turned out warm cake. Top with apple slices if desired.
