MICROWAVE PECAN BRITTLE 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. raw pecan halves
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. butter
1 tsp. baking soda, sifted

In a 2 quart glass dish or bowl, combine sugar, syrup, and salt. Cover and microwave on high for 4 minutes. Add pecans, stir; cover and microwave on high for 4 minutes. Stir in vanilla and butter. Add baking soda and stir quickly. Pour onto greased cookie sheet and spread evenly. Allow to cool, then break into pieces.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
