CHILI CON CARNE 
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 green pepper, minced
2 tbsp. oil
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
2 #2 cans stewed tomatoes
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 #2 cans red kidney beans
1 tbsp. chili powder

Brown onion and pepper in oil. Add ground beef and brown. Add stewed tomatoes and sauce. Drain kidney beans and add to pot. Season with chili powder. Simmer 2 hours. This dish is better the second day. Serve over rice.
