PORK CHOPS SUPREME 
2 tbsp. shortening
6 loin or rib chops, 3/4 to 1 inch thick
Salt and pepper to taste
6 thin slices onion
6 tbsp. brown sugar
6 thin lemon slices
6 tbsp. catsup

Melt shortening in large skillet and brown chops over medium heat. Season chops with salt and pepper and place in shallow baking pan or dish. Top each chop with one onion slice, one lemon slice, 1 tbsp. brown sugar, 1 tbsp. catsup. Cover and bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Uncover and continue baking until done, about 30 minutes, basting occasionally. Serves 6.
