MIRIAM'S BEEF AND KASHA | |
1 c. sm. dried lima beans 3 lbs. chuck roast 2 lg. onions, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 2 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. paprika 1 c. kasha (buckwheat groats) 4 c. boiling water Wash beans, cover with water, boil, remove from heat. Let soak 1 hour, drain. Place meat, onions and garlic in Dutch oven, brown, add seasonings, beans, kasha and water. Cook 2 1/2 hours or until beans and meat are tender. Add more water if necessary. |
