KASHA WITH MUSHROOMS 
1 c. kasha (buckwheat groats)
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
2 c. boiling bouillon (any flavor)
1/4 c. butter
1 med. onion, chopped
1 1/2 c. sliced mushrooms
1 c. sour cream
Optional: bow pasta

Combine kasha with egg and salt in heavy saucepan and stirring constantly for 1 minute or until grains are separate. Add hot bouillon and cook slowly, tightly covered for 30 minutes or until water is absorbed. (Check every few minutes after 20 minutes.) While kasha is cooking, saute onion and mushroom in butter. Mix onion and mushrooms and cooked kasha with sour cream. Can add cooked pasta bows, if desired.
