BAKED RICE PUDDING 
1/2 c. uncooked rice
4 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. seedless raisins
1/8 tsp. powdered nutmeg

Wash the rice. Add milk, sugar and salt. Mix and pour into a 2 quart baking dish that has been greased with butter. Bake in a 275 degree oven, stirring several times during the first hour. Add the raisins and bake 1 to 2 more or until a brown film covers the top of the pudding. Sprinkle with nutmeg and serve with top milk or cream.
