CHOCOLATE CHIP OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. buttery Crisco (or reg. Crisco)
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. Quaker oats (either kind)
2 c. chocolate chips
Optional: Add 1 c. raisins

Beat Crisco, sugars and vanilla together until creamy. Beat in egg. Sift together flour, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture; mix well. Stir in oats and chocolate chips. Drop onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Makes about 6 dozen.
