TURTLE CAKE | |
1 box German chocolate cake mix 1 c. chocolate chips 1/2 c. evaporated milk 1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels 3/4 c. butter 1 c. chopped nuts Place caramels, milk and butter in saucepan and melt over low heat. Mix cake mix per package directions. Pour half of batter into 13x9 pan. Bake 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and pour 1/2 caramel mixture over cake. Sprinkle 1/2 cup nuts, 1/2 cup chocolate chips over caramels. Pour remaining batter on top of this and then top with remaining nuts, caramel, nuts and chips. Bake 350 degrees for 20 more minutes. |
