QUICK CLAM CHOWDER 
1 pkg. Betty Crocker scalloped potatoes
1 can (7-8 oz.) minced clams (drained, reserve liquid)
2 1/2 c. milk
1 tbsp. butter
Green onion and pepper if wanted

In large saucepan, mix potato slices, sauce mix, amounts of milk and water called for on the package and clam liquid. Heat to boiling, then simmer 25 minutes, stirring occasionally until potatoes are tender. Then stir in clams, 2 1/2 cups milk and butter. Heat thoroughly. You can use all milk instead of the water called for on the package.
