VEGETARIAN MEATBALLS (THAT TASTE
LIKE THE REAL THING)

1 (24 oz.) jar meatless spaghetti sauce (your choice)

MEATBALLS:

1 pkg. Gimme Lean "ground beef" style
1 pkg. Gimme Lean "ground sausage" style
1 small yellow onion, minced
3 large garlic cloves, minced
1/2 cup egg beaters
1/2 cup Italian style bread crumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (use quality Parmigiano-Reggiano)
1 env. French onion soup dry mix (Lipton)
a few shakes of soy sauce
a couple pinches of salt and pepper
a few shakes of Mrs Dash's Italian Medley
then I go back and add extra poultry seasoning to give a real authentic meat flavor

Note: Both "veggie" products can be found in the produce area next to the other vegetarian products.

Put a jar of your favorite (or a homemade) tomato sauce in a large sauce pot and bring simmer while you are assembling your meatballs. I used a jar of Classico's Spicy Tomato Basil, with a couple swishes of water in the jar to not leave any sauce unused.

Next put all of the ingredients for the meatballs into a large bowl and dive in with your hands and thoroughly mix all of the ingredients. Form the meatballs to your desired size, I made mine golf ball size - it came out to exactly 20.

Warm a sauté pan on medium heat and coat with olive oil spray. Add your formed meatballs and brown on all sides and then add them to your tomato sauce and simmer for 45 minutes (or longer if you like) rotating them around every so often if they all cannot be submerged in the sauce at once.

Hope you love these as much as my family friends do!!
