2 c. sugar
1 c. white corn syrup
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. butter (add just before taking from heat)
3/4 tsp. anise oil

Boil until brittle in cold water. Put in greased tin. Cut as it cools. Break up when cold. Add food coloring just before taking from the fire.
