GOLDEN POUND CAKE 
1 1/2 c. Crisco
2 1/2 c. sugar
8 eggs
3 c. plain flour
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. almond flavoring
3/4 tsp. salt

Cream Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add lemon juice and flavoring. Add sifted dry ingredients. Beat well. Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
