LAYERED ORANGE CHIFFON MOLD | |
1 (3 oz.) pkg. orange flavored gelatin 1 c. boiling water 1/2 c. cold water 1/4 c. orange juice 1 tbsp. grated orange rind 1 (4 oz.) container frozen whipped topping, thawed 1 (4 c.) mold Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add cold water, orange juice and orange rind. Chill until slightly thickened. Measure 3/4 cup; pour into 4 cup mold. Chill until set, but not firm, about 10 or 15 minutes. Blend 1 1/2 cups of the whipped topping into remaining gelatin. Spoon over gelatin in mold. Chill until firm, 4 hours or overnight. Unfold. Garnish with remaining whipped topping and orange slice, if desired. Makes 4 cups or 8 servings. |
