YELLOW ANGEL CAKE 
6 egg yolks
1/2 c. water
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. orange or lemon extract
1 1/2 c. cake flour
1/4 tsp. salt
6 egg whites
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar

Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored; add water (cold) and continue beating until thick. Add sugar gradually; then extracts. Sift flour with the salt and gradually add to above mixture. Beat the 6 egg whites until foamy; add to the egg yolk mixture along with cream of tartar. Bake in an ungreased tube pan in a 325 degree oven until done. Turn pan upside down to cool.

ICING:

1 lb. box powdered sugar
Enough cream or milk to spread
1 tsp. lemon extract

Mix together and spread thick on cake. Let dry.
