CARAMELS 
2 c. sugar
1 3/4 c. white syrup
2 c. half and half
1 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Chopped walnuts

Boil 1 cup half and half, white syrup, sugar and butter for 1 hour, stirring now and then. Add the other cup of cream. Boil one more hour. Add nuts and vanilla. Pour into 8" cake pan. Cut into individual squares when cool and wrap in plastic wrap.
