CANDY CARAMELS 
1 c. white sugar
1 c. half and half
1 c. butter
1 c. dark brown sugar
1 c. whipping cream
1 c. white syrup
1 1/3 tsp. vanilla

Mix together all ingredients except vanilla. Stirring constantly over medium heat; bring to boil to a temperature of 248 degrees. Add the vanilla. Stir and remove from heat. Pour into a buttered jelly roll pan. Cool. Cut into squares and wrap in wax paper. Store in a cool place. Do not double this recipe!
