ALMOND TOFFEE 
1 stick butter
1 stick butter
3 tbsp. water
1 c. sugar
1 (3 oz.) pkg. slivered almonds

Place all ingredients in heavy iron skillet and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until dark brown. (Should cook a little beyond crack stage, but not quite hard crack.) Pour onto buttered cookie sheet and let cool. Break into pieces.
