ITALIAN CHEESE TWISTS 
1/4 c. soft butter or shortening
1/4 tsp. each basil, oregano & marjoram
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 (16 oz.) loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
3/4 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese (3 oz.)
1 beaten egg
1 tbsp. water
2 tbsp. sesame seeds

In small bowl mix butter, spices and garlic. Set aside. On a lightly floured surface, roll bread dough into a 12" square. Spread with butter mixture and sprinkle with cheese. Fold dough into thirds, with sharp knife cut dough crosswise into 24 (1/2") strips. Twist each strip twice and pinch ends to seal. Place 2" apart on greased sheet. Cover, let rise until double, 30 minutes. Combine egg and water. Brush each twist. Sprinkle with seeds. Bake 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden.
