MIMI'S FLORIDA FRUIT SALAD 
Great as a side dish (fruit salad), dessert, or just as a cooling refreshing snack on a hot day!

1 (5 oz.) pkg. jello (any flavor)
4 large nectarines, sliced
4 apples, sliced
6 large strawberries, sliced
1 orange, cut in small chunks
2 medium bananas, sliced
2 large slices watermelon, cut in chunks
2 large slices cantaloupe, cut in chunks
bunch of blueberries
bunch of grapes (I use seedless)
1/4 cup sliced almonds
3 cups cottage cheese (small curd)
whipped cream or Cool Whip, for topping

Note: Any fruit can be substituted or you can may add additional fruits.

In large bowl prepare jello as per package directions (set aside to chill) or until slightly firm. Cut and prepare all fruits.

Once jello is slightly firm add fruits, almonds, and cottage cheese, mix, place back in refrigerator to finish cooling or until fully firm.

Serve chilled topped with whipped cream or Cool Whip.
