BANANA CAKE 
1 c. butter
1 1/3 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. yogurt, plain
1 1/4 c. mashed bananas
1 tsp. lemon juice

Sprinkle mashed bananas with lemon to prevent browning. In bowl, cream butter, gradually add sugar and beat until fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add vanilla. Sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture, alternating with the yogurt. Add mashed bananas mixing just until blended. Bake in fluted (circular) baking pan for 40 to 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
