CARROT CAKE 
1 1/2 c. corn oil
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. shredded carrots
1 c. black walnuts

Mix together. Bake in a tube pan at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.

GLAZE:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tbsp. white syrup (Karo)
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Mix together in a saucepan, bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Pour over cake while warm.
