CURRIED MINCE AND RICE SLICE
Tastes great on the day you make it but even better the next day!

1 cup uncooked rice
2 tsp. curry powder
1 tsp. chicken bouillon
1 egg
1 large white onion, chopped
2 tbsp. oil
1 lb. ground beef "mince" (500g)
1 (16 oz.) jar pasta sauce (approx 450mls)
1 cup liquid cream
salt and pepper, to taste
grated cheese (as much as you want to cover the top)

Cook rice as normal adding the curry and chicken powders to the cooking water.

Once the rice is cooked and still hot quickly add the egg and mix well before it sets.

While the rice is cooking brown the chopped onion in a frying pan with the oil. Once browned add the ground beef and cook well. Once the meat is cooked add the pasta sauce and season with salt and pepper.

Layer the cooked rice on the bottom of a large oven dish. Cover it with the beef mixture. Sprinkle the cheese on top. Pour the cream evenly over the top of the whole dish.

Put in the oven at 350°F (180°C) and cook for 30 to 45 minutes.

Note: If you want you can sprinkle your favorite herbs on top of the cheese before you put it in the oven.
