DIXIE PORK CHOPS | |
8 pork chops 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. sage 4 tart apples, cored & cut in rings 1/2 c. seedless raisins 1/4 c. brown sugar 2 tbsp. flour 1 c. hot water 1 tbsp. vinegar Oven 350 degrees. Brown pork chops in hot fat; sprinkle with salt and sage. Place in baking dish; top with apple rings; sprinkle with brown sugar. Add flour to fat in skillet; blend. Add water, vinegar; cook until thick. Add raisins; pour over chops. Bake uncovered for 1 hour (do not overcook, raisins turn into pellets.) |
