NUT GEMS 
2 c. flour
1 c. butter
4 tbsp. sugar
1 c. nuts, chopped fine
2 tsp. water
2 tsp. rum flavoring
Confectioners' sugar

Sift flour, measure, sift again. Cream butter; add sugar gradually, cream until smooth. Blend in flour; stir in nuts, water and rum flavoring; mix well. Shape into small 1-inch balls. Bake on ungreased baking sheet at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

While warm, roll in confectioners' sugar, then in decorating sugar. Makes about 60.
