NEVER-FAIL PEANUT BRITTLE 
3 c. granulated sugar
1 c. white corn syrup
1/2 c. water
3 c. raw peanuts
3 tsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda

In deep pan, boil sugar, syrup and water until thread spins. Add peanuts and stir constantly. Cook until mixture turns brown and peanuts look cooked. Take from fire and add butter, salt and soda. Pour immediately into well buttered platter. When cool, break into pieces.
