1 c. butter or 2 sticks butter
2 c. sugar
3 egg yolks
3 egg whites
3 c. raw apples
2 c. flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped walnuts

Cream sugar, butter and egg yolks. Add flour, salt, soda, vanilla and spices. Stir well, add the chopped apples, nuts and raisins, mix well. Fold in the beaten egg whites. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Use large pan that has been greased and floured.
