CANDIED SWEET POTATOES 
8 med. potatoes
2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. water
1/2 stick butter

Boil sweet potatoes in jacket until tender. Cool and peel. Cut lengthwise into fourths. Put into buttered oblong dish (9x13 inches). Set aside and make syrup by mixing sugar and water. Boil until syrupy. Pour over sweet potatoes and dot with butter. Sprinkle with nutmeg and bake at 350 degrees until candied to your taste.
