4 egg yolks
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. hot water
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 egg whites
3 tbsp. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 can sliced pineapple, cubed and drained

Beat yolks, add sugar, hot water and flour sifted with baking powder. Add vanilla and lastly fold in beaten egg whites. Put butter and sugar in a skillet over fire and stir until syrup. Add pineapple. Pour above batter over this and bake half an hour in a moderate oven.
