QUICK BREAD 
5 c. unsifted self-rising flour
5 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 c. sour cream
1 (12 oz.) can beer
Melted butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, combine flour and sugar. Add sour cream and beer alternately; mix well. Pour batter into greased 2 quart round baking dish. Bake 45 minutes; brush top with butter. Bake 15-20 minutes longer or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool slightly. Serve warm or toasted.
