JELLY COOKIES 
1 c. butter
5 tbsp. sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Jelly

Cream butter and sugar. Blend in flour, vanilla and nuts. Form balls, impress hole in center of cookie and fill with jelly. Bake at 200 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
