OLD FASHIONED GREEN BEANS AND
BACON
 
3/4 lb. green beans, cut
8 slices bacon
2 med. sized potatoes, pared and cut in 1/2 inch pieces
1 sm. onion, sliced
1/4 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt

May use frozen beans, 1 lb. Cook green beans in a small amount of boiling salted water about 10 minutes, or until just tender. Dice the bacon and fry until crisp. Add potatoes, green beans, and remaining ingredients to bacon and 3 tablespoons fat; cook, covered, about 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

Made the recipe without the potatoes. You can use more than that amount of gr. beans just maybe add more bacon. I also did not use onion.
