APPLE NUT BREAD 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, unbeaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tbsp. sour cream or plain yogurt
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chopped unpeeled apples

Cut butter into sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Blend in vanilla and sour cream (or plain yogurt). Sift together dry ingredients; add nuts. Combine with first mixture. Stir in apples. Pour into greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan or 2 small loaf pans. Bake in slow oven (325 degrees) about 1 hour. Makes 1 large or 2 small loaves.
