CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE | |
5 sticks butter 3 c. sugar 7 eggs, room temperature 4 c. all purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 c. buttermilk 3 level tbsp. cocoa 2 tbsp. vanilla Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating 1 minute for each. Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Lastly add vanilla. Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 1 1/2 hours or 2 loaf pans for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until tester comes out clean. |
